VELUX Weekend in La Rochelle, France

With a call to take sustainable actions the VELUX Group hosts a wide range of events in connection with the race start of VELUX 5 OCEANS in La Rochelle, France. The VELUX Group is second time title sponsor of the race which in this 2010-2011 edition has sustainability as on overall theme. During the VELUX Weekend in La Rochelle the 750 VELUX guests will also celebrate the winners of International VELUX Award for students of Architecture. The award seeks to widen the boundaries of daylight in architecture including sustainability. Finally VELUX House is placed in the centre of the race village as a physical manifestation of how it is possible to design buildings with optimum energy efficiency, reduced CO2 emissions and healthy indoor climate by utilising the energy from the sun.
