VELUX Group reduces the temperature to save energy

From October 1st The VELUX Group will reduce the heating in all VELUX locations in Europe to a level between 19 – 21 degrees Celsius. This comes in connection with the current European energy crisis and is in line with the VELUX sustainability strategy and

From October 1st, office locations will be heated to 20-21 degrees Celsius and production facilities to 19 degrees Celcius. The specific temperature levels have been adjusted to match the job functions that are carried out in the given location as well as working environment rules in the different countries.  

The normal temperature level during the heating season has until now been between 20-24 degrees Celsius in office locations and 19-23 degrees Celsius in production facilities. Reducing the heat in all European VELUX locations through the heating season will impact VELUX overall CO2 footprint by 2000 tonnes.
