VELUX presents smart home innovation at IFA Conference in Berlin, Germany

Summary

The VELUX Group will be exhibiting its latest innovation, VELUX ACTIVE with Netatmo, at IFA 2017 in Berlin. IFA is one of Europe’s most prestigious consumer electronics shows, and runs 1st-6th September 2017.

The development of VELUX ACTIVE was first announced alongside Netatmo at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, in January 2017.

The product comprises a WiFi gateway, indoor climate sensors and smart controls for VELUX Integra roof windows and sunscreening products, along with a control app for iOS and Android.

Based on a range of indoor climate parameters, such as temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels, users will be able to automate roof window and sunscreen operation - thereby ensuring the optimum indoor climate in their home at all times.

Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the importance of good indoor climate in ensuring good health for themselves and their families,
says Michael Rasmussen, SVP Brand at the VELUX Group
Coupled with the convenience and potential energy savings offered by smart home integration, VELUX ACTIVE responds to these changing trends and offers a simple way to ensure a healthier, more comfortable home,
continues Michael K. Rasmussen

VELUX ACTIVE with Netatmo was awarded two prestigious CES 2017 awards in the Smart Home and Eco-design & Sustainable Technologies categories.

VELUX ACTIVE is scheduled to launch on global markets in Q1 2018.
