VELUX Learnings from Climate-Neutral Buildings Project - Model Home 2020

The project Model Home 2020 is a vision for climate-neutral buildings with a high degree of liveability. The project started in 2009 and involves the construction of six houses in five countries across Europe. All houses will be monitored in terms of quantitative and qualitative aspects. Energy consumption and indoor climate will be monitored and the actual results will be compared with the assumptions made in the planning process. VELUX learned that there is a distinct gap between theory and practice. The real challenge is to establish a bridge of dialogue to close this gap in order to qualify theory and thereby future practice. Available video includes edited package, soundbites and general views.
