VELUX Group sponsors Giro d’Italia and other Italian cycling races in 2024

The VELUX Group is partnering with RCS Sports & Events to sponsor five globally-renowned road cycling races for women and men in 2024.

The sponsorship kicks off with the Strade Bianche and Strade Bianche Women Elite races during the first weekend of March . The Giro d’Italia, Giro d’Italia Women and Il Lombardia races will occur in spring and summer.

This  sponsorship fits perfectly with the core VELUX brand and product promise of providing more daylight and fresh air to people’s homes. It allows us to further pursue brand awareness opportunities in the exciting arena of cycling, while spending valuable time with our partners and customers at some of the world’s largest and most spectacular races. Furthermore, the opportunity to support events for women is in line with our ambition to enable equal opportunities in sport and business, says Aliëtte van der Wal-van Dijk, EVP Global Marketing, the VELUX Group.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome an international partner like VELUX into our family. We are beginning a journey where VELUX will accompany us at the major events we are organising, starting with Strade Bianche and Strade Bianche Women Elite and continuing with Giro d'Italia, Giro d'Italia Women and Il Lombardia. Our races not only represent the history of Italian cycling, but are an important showcase for major world-class brands. The agreement with VELUX is totally in line with our goals and strategies, which are not only focused on sporting events but also on growing the brand. We want to expand the boundaries even further and increase our international popularity, says Matteo Mursia, Chief Revenue Officer, RCS Sports & Events.
