VELUX Group issues product warning

The product warning concerns the risk of an electrical fault in a flat roof window.

A fault detected in VELUX new generation mains-powered glass rooflight CVU could in rare instances cause electric shock.

The risk is considered low and no one has been injured. It is safe to use the affected flat roof windows with a remote control, but owners should refrain from any physical contact with the windows to eliminate the risk of electric shock.

Owners of these windows are advised to contact their relevant local VELUX customer service organisation for the issue to be rectified. Contact information is available on VELUX market websites.

Neither the solar-powered version of this flat roof window, nor older versions of VELUX flat roof windows are impacted.

VELUX initially launched the mains-powered glass rooflight CVU in July 2021. Read more here.
