VELUX Group awarded platinum rating by EcoVadis
The VELUX Group earned a platinum medal from EcoVadis, a trusted global provider of business sustainability ratings. It is the highest rating possible and puts VELUX amongst the top 1% of companies worldwide rated by EcoVadis in 2025 in terms of their environmental impact, labour and human rights standards, ethics and procurement practices.
The 2025 platinum rating of VELUX follows two consecutive years of gold ratings in 2024 and 2023. With a score this year of 86, that puts VELUX in the 99th percentile, or amongst the best of more than 150,000 companies worldwide rated by EcoVadis.
With this platinum EcoVadis ranking, we have proven that reaching for the sky and putting in the effort to get there pays off. When we received our first EcoVadis rating of bronze, just three years ago, we decided to go for gold. We achieved that two years in a row and then, instead of resting on our laurels, we went even further. I am extremely proud of the efforts made by colleagues across VELUX to further integrate effective sustainability practices throughout the organisation – this award is a symbol of their success.
Improvements across all EcoVadis themes
The annual EcoVadis rating process is comprehensive and requires extensive documentation and validation. Four parameters are measured to result in an overall score and rating, with the scale ranging from 0 to 100. The 2025 score for VELUX of 86 points is an 8-percentage point increase from 2024. VELUX improved in all areas, with the greatest increase seen in the environment category where the score rose to 96 from 80. One of the drivers behind this improvement was the first time ever full CDP* disclosure where VELUX achieved an A- in climate change disclosure.
*CDP is a voluntary reporting framework that companies use to disclose environmental information to their stakeholders.
