The VELUX Group syncs up with Apple HomeKit

Announced at WWDC 2016, Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, the VELUX Group will bring Apple HomeKit support to a number of its products.

Apple HomeKit, which now has its very own app, offers a simple and secure way to set up and control home automation from the palm of your hand.

Bringing the internet of things into your home, the VELUX Group believes that home automation is crucial to the future development of the building industry and other industries selling products for our homes.

Furthermore, as healthier homes are more important than ever to consumers, proven by the VELUX Group’s Healthy Homes Barometer 2016, the group believes that smart homes will enable more people to take steps to improve the state of their home.

The VELUX Group is very happy to announce its support for Apple HomeKit. We believe that this is a great opportunity to make smart home technology an integral part of the future development of healthy and efficient homes.
says Michael K. Rasmussen, Senior Vice President, Brand, the VELUX Group.

The VELUX Group expects to have its first product solutions integrated to the Apple HomeKit platform in the course of 2018.

For more information about the updates to Apple HomeKit, see the WWDC keynote presentations on 13th, 14th and 15th June from San Francisco, California.
