Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Production

The VELUX Group has adopted an ambitious climate strategy. A new woodchip extraction system at the factory in Hungary is one good example of how the VELUX Group is using innovative solutions to arrive at sustainable production. The new and climate-friendly system has dramatically reduced energy consumption at the Hungarian factory by 40% - so it is making a major contribution to the Group's overall climate strategy. The objective is to reduce the Group's 2007 CO2 emissions by 20% by 2012 and 50% by 2020. Innovations supporting the strategy are being implemented in all the Group's 27 factories.
