Huge CO2 Potential in Energy Renovation of Buildings

Buildings account for 40 per cent of all energy consumption in Europe. So, buildings constitute a substantial potential when it comes to reducing CO2 emissions. By far the greatest part of the problem is the existing building stock. Consequently, climate renovations are necessary, and according to roof window producer, the VELUX Group, these should be carried out with consideration for the indoor climate as well. VELUX Group calls it Sustainable Living, and as Michael K. Rasmussen, Chief Marketing Officer, stated during the recent World Climate Solutions conference in Copenhagen, it actually is possible to carry out energy renovations with existing technology and yet improving the indoor environment.
