A Tribute to the Light of La Rochelle in France

23 students, all winners and honourable mentions in the International VELUX Award 2010, met in La Rochelle, France to explore how the natural light hits the town. For the first time, the way the light hits the town of La Rochelle has been experienced, sensed and captured by the students, who were equipped with a video camera to capture the space, changeability and materiality of the light at different locations such as in the city, in the ancient arcades, or by the sea. The task was to put together a film, under the supervision of the 2006 International VELUX Award winner, Louise Grønlund. Available video includes a short film capturing the students' work.
