VELUX awarded gold rating by EcoVadis in 2023 assessment

VELUX A/S has progressed from a bronze to gold medal in the latest assessment by the rating body EcoVadis, which assesses companies’ environmental, social and governance (ESG) management and progress.

VELUX was awarded a gold medal based on a score of 71 points. EcoVadis recognised VELUX for having a best-in-class carbon management system in addition to strong decarbonisation ambitions with approved science-based targets.

VELUX is now among the top 30 companies in its EcoVadis category. This is the second time that VELUX has been rated by EcoVadis. The annual rating process is extensive and requires answering and providing documentation to an extensive 90-page questionnaire.

Our customer and business partners care about sustainability and are looking for detailed information about our approach, management and performance. I am delighted that we are assessed as gold in the EcoVadis ranking, which is a reflection of our commitment and focus on sustainability,

says Jamie Rusby, VELUX Group Sustainability Director.

Thorough evaluation and scoring

An EcoVadis questionnaire is customised to a company’s size, industry and location, with the analysis and final score weighted accordingly in an online scorecard, indicating strengths and improvement areas. The final ESG score is established by compiling data about the subject and weighing the issues against a standard scale. An ESG score ranges from 0-100.
