Jørgen Jensen replaces Søren Bjerre-Nielsen as chairman of the VELUX A/S board

For some time, Søren Bjerre-Nielsen has wanted to step down from the Board of Directors of VELUX A /S. He has been a member of the board since 1997 and has been chairman for the last six years.

During Søren Bjerre-Nielsen's term of office, the VELUX Group has experienced stable growth and with VELUX Commercial, a new business area which offers skylight products for large buildings, like schools, industrial and commercial buildings, the way is paved for continued growth. The VELUX Group strengthened its commercial activities through the recently acquired companies American Wasco, Danish Vitral and German JET-Group.

Søren Bjerre-Nielsen, 67-years old, continues as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VKR Holding A/S, of which the VELUX Group constitutes most activities.

Jørgen Jensen, 51-years old, was elected chairman of VELUX A/S on December 5. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2018 as Vice Chairman.

Jørgen Jensen retired in September this year as CEO of WS Audiology (formerly Widex) to pursue a board career. In addition to the chairmanship of VELUX A/S, he is a member of the Maersk Container Industry Advisory Board as well as a member of the board of directors of 3Shape and Weibel.
