VELUX America acquires Wasco Products Inc.

The acquisition strengthens VELUX’s U.S. presence in commercial daylighting.

VELUX America LLC, the U.S. sales company of the VELUX Group, has acquired Wasco Products Inc., one of America’s oldest and largest skylight manufacturers.

Wasco Products Inc, known as Wasco Skylights, has manufacturing facilities in Wells, Maine and Reno, Nevada and a network of independent sales representatives throughout the United States. VELUX has manufacturing facilities in Greenwood, S.C. and a sales office in Fort Mill, S.C.Wasco’s broad product offering for the commercial market, manufacturing facilities, and strong nationwide sales network will provide synergies and opportunities for VELUX in the U.S, which has a strategy to strengthen its presence in the commercial market.

Wasco’s residential and particularly its commercial business fit well with VELUX and our growth strategy in the United States. VELUX is already a dominant player in the residential market for skylights and Wasco has a very strong presence in the market for customised commercial skylights where we see great opportunities to combine our VELUX Modular Skylight and Dynamic Dome products with Wasco’s full commercial product range and vast U.S. sales reach.
says David Briggs, CEO of VELUX Group
