No Shortcuts to Quick and Cheap CO2 Reduction

Only after a long haul is it possible for a company to achieve its climate goals. This is the learning in the VELUX Group which follows a very ambitious climate strategy. The goal is to reduce the Group's overall CO2 emissions by 20% by the end of 2012 and by 50 % in 2020 based on 2007 emissions. Figures from the Group's recently published Corporate Responsibility report show that CO2 emissions have been reduced by just over 10%. VELUX Group Director David P. Meyer explains: "When you invest in new technology, you must expect some teething troubles before the effect is felt." Edited package includes interview with Mr. Meyer and general views of factories.
