New chairman of the VELUX Group

After 36 years as chairman Lars Kann-Rasmussen has decided to retire from the boards of VKR Holding and VELUX A/S at the general meetings in March 2010. Jens Jørgen Madsen is nominated for succeeding him in VELUX A/S

Jens Jørgen Madsen, who is nominated for the chairmanship in VELUX A/S, was elected to the board in 2007 and to the board of VKR Holding A/S in 2009. "Jens Jørgen is former CEO of Grundfos. Based on his experience and personal qualities I consider him the most relevant person for the position", says Lars Kann-Rasmussen.

Jens Jørgen Madsen declares, "I have been on the board of VELUX A/S for almost 3 years. During that time I have gained a really good knowledge of the business VELUX and the basic values of the business. I am proud to be suggested for the chairmanship - a declaration of confidence, which I shall do my utmost to live up to. My new position shows many similarities with my previous workplace. As the coming chairman I shall support management and organisation in theirs efforts to make VELUX even stronger in coming years. I look forward to the task and the cooperation."About VELUX
