Jury Meets to Prepare International VELUX Award 2012

The jury of the International VELUX Award 2012 met in Copenhagen on 18-19 June and evaluated 983 projects to select the winners of 2012. The VELUX Group presents the award every second year to challenge students to propose ideas for future sustainable architecture. The aim is to take advantage of the students' curiosity and courage to explore social, psychological and environmental dimensions of sunlight and daylight. Material includes an edited version with interview quotes from Brigitte Shim, professor at the University of Toronto and principal at Shim-Sutcliffe Archi-tects, Peter Stutchbury from Australia, principal of Peter Stutchbury Architecture, Juan Miró from the US, professor at the University of Texas and principal of Miró Rivera Architects, and Per Arnold Andersen, architect and head of the Daylight, Energy and Indoor Climate Department in the VELUX Group.
