EU Competition Authorities Visiting
The EU Commission is today inspecting a number of locations in the VELUX Group as part of the last year's ongoing examination.
Since the beginning of this examination, VELUX has cooperated with both national and European competition authorities and has, at the end of February 2008, supplied various documents to the European competition authorities. VELUX employees have been instructed to cooperate with the representatives from the Commission.
It is of course VELUX Group policy to support free competion. In this respect we value the work performed by Danish and European authorities to ensure that.
We have a leading position in the roof window market, and we have always made every effort to comply with competition legislation and rules. VELUX has a comprehensive compliance programme, developed in close cooperation with the most acclaimed and experienced advisers in the area.
We respond openly to any approach by the competition authorities and do our best to cooperate with them to show that VELUX complies with national and European competition policies and legislation. It is our firm conviction that the VELUX Group complies with these rules and legislation and we hope that the competition authorities will be able to conclude this examination after today's inspection.
